Now that I have your attention, let me follow this up with several names: Brian Wee Beng Swee. David Martin Wee. Just Brian Wee or David Wee or maybe even just Martin (on OkCupid). If any of these names ring a bell, then you may have or may be on the way to getting conned.
If this man - going by either of the names above - has recently offered/promised you a job with FedEx, just fucking run because he is a seasoned conman. Don't even trust the letter of offer bearing his signature on the company letterhead - that is a fake and FedEx Malaysia is aware of this although we do not know if the company will ever take action.
For a bit of backgrounder, you may refer to here and here for some context. If you are here to confirm some suspicions about this man, who claims to be a high-ranking personnel at FedEx Malaysia (or Singapore or Hong Kong) then you will find information that you can compare against. You should be on high alert if this man has recently offered you a job at FedEx Malaysia to work for a newly established unit focusing on public relations and corporate social responsibility because there is no such job available. On one separate occasion, he was also known to have offered jobs at Channel News Asia. This man does not work for Channel News Asia in any capacity. If you don't believe me, please go check yourself.
Brian Wee Beng Swee (NRIC number 781215-13-5063) is a conman who has been masquerading as a wealthy and successful corporate worker to gain the trust and confidence of people, whom he would later steal several thousands of ringgit from under the guise of a loan. I and two other friends, have been digging for leads on Brian Wee Beng Swee, and from the information we have received from people who fell victim to him, we can estimate that he has pocketed at least RM200,000 within the last few years.
In addition to the posts earlier, here are some other information which may be valuable to you:
1. He claims to have bought a condo unit at KL Sentral but as it is allegedly undergoing renovation, he would either stay at his brother's place in Puchong or at Aloft KL Sentral, which FedEx Singapore is supposedly paying for.
In previous communications, we were told that the brother in Puchong is named Joseph. There is no brother by such a name. However, Brian Wee Beng Swee does have a brother who runs a Sarawak laksa stall by the name of Aubrey Wee. You can find the stall at Hock Thai Restaurant in SS2, Petaling Jaya. Aubrey Wee runs the stall with the help of his parents - who are clearly not dead - and on occasion, Brian Wee Beng Swee.
As a side note, Aubrey Wee is also aware of Brian Wee Beng Swee's activities but told a victim who approached him that what his brother does is none of his business. Aubrey Wee also looks like a thug. Nice fella.
2. He allegedly drives a red Mazda CX55 but we are uncertain if it is his. He allegedly told a woman he befriended on an online dating site that he had paid for the car but that it was registered under his sister-in-law's name although it doesn't even fucking make sense. In previous communications, he referred to this so-called sister-in-law as Ellen but we are uncertain whether such a person exists or not.
What we do know is that he drives a white Perodua Myvi with the registration number BNF 3972, which I have personally seen him be the driver for his brother and parents after they've closed shop for the day at the Sarawak laksa stall. His father's name is Henry Wee Boon Hai, by the way. His mother is Jospehine Nosi.
Yet another victim had informed me late last year that Brian Wee Beng Swee had given him a lift in the same Perodua Myvi before. Brian Wee Beng Swee claimed to the victim that the car belonged to his "staff" and he was borrowing it because his car (a black Honda Jazz) was in the workshop.
3. He claims that he received a scholarship from the Sarawak Foundation to study engineering in RMIT, Australia.
4. He claims that he has a niece of kindergarden/early primary school age that was born with half a right arm.
The information may be real or fabricated and it doesn't really matter because they are just stories weaved together to paint the picture of a man you can trust enough to part ways with a lot of money and other things.
If you have information, do get in touch. More people need to know about Brian Wee Beng Swee so that they don't fall prey to his cons.
Update: The red Mazda CX55 does not belong to Brian Wee Beng Swee and was in fact, misused by him. I understand that he has photos of the car, which he may potentially use to claim to other victims that it is his and later on, bluff about how the car is at the workshop or some such lie which is another one of his usual stories.
